I was playing this song for more than 30 years just like all
of us who wanted to make it sound right out of F major.
The chords were correct but the song never sounded right.
The explanation came from Paul in the introduction to the song
on the album Anthology 2 (number 7): the guitar is tuned one
full tone lower and F should be played like G. Try it and you
will realise that this sounds as it should. The tricky bit is picking
the bass strings and strumming the upper three strings, but listen
carefully and you will get around it. I am sure that this transcription
can be improved but I liked my descovery so much that I left it as
transcribed for the first time. Enjoy and let me know what you think.
